Needing a heavy couch and chair, a bed, and a dozen boxes cleared from an Ajax apartment, I searched online. Every junk removal service featured reviews of outstanding service - but quite a few reviews did not sound like they were written by ordinary people! So instead of reading any more 5 star reviews, I read the 1 star reviews, and quickly concluded that this removal was not going to be a happy experience! Many many people complained of unexpected fees once the truck and workers arrived.
I decided to look for a locally owned company rather than one of the big names. One had a low price, but added on was 25-50% "fees" (depending on weight and distance to elevator). I don't like this kind of uncertainty! J.W.D. Junk Removal quoted a price that covered everything - there was a range in the price depending again on weight and elevator, because I told him the couch was extra heavy and the elevator was quite far. But at least I knew what the top price would be. I talked on the phone twice to James and hoped for the best. I booked for the next day. He arrived exactly on time, they expertly removed everything, and I was extremely satisfied. James is the owner and does the removal himself with his helper. I liked that I could inquire online and get the information, then talk to the actual operator. I liked that there were no surprise "fees" or "required tips". And I was happy to support someone running his own small business in Durham region. I recommend JWD Junk Removal.

We had an old freezer, love seat sofa bed & basic junk we needed disposed of. JWD Junk Removal arrived & removed the ‘junk’ in a timely & professional manner.
